How to Import a SIMS.net Report

 If you have received a report file from an external source it can be added to SIMS.net.

To begin, save the file to a location you can easily find it – we suggest your Documents or Desktop would be a good place to start. Don’t worry, you can delete the file once you have finished to keep things tidy!

 ext, logon to SIMS.net with your normal credentials. Select the Reports tab from the top menu bar, and then select Import.

 


A small window will then appear. Click the Open button on the right-hand side to start browsing for the file you saved earli



 

Using the file browser, locate the file you downloaded earlier. I saved mine to the desktop as shown below. Click the file and select open.


You will then be taken to the previous window in SIMS.net and should see the description of the report you are adding. Make sure the tick box is selected next to your new report, and then click the Import button.



 Once you have clicked the import button, the status will change from pending to Imported. You can close the window, and then access you report in the usual way. If you are struggling to import the report, you may not have the required permissions. You will need to speak to your SIMS.net provider about this.
