Setting up Mac Devices to print to a Ricoh Copier

The copier should already be in your list of installed printers if you have a school owned computer. If you can’t find it, you can add it by it’s IP address in Mac System Preferences – Printers & Scanners

Press the plus arrow on the left hand side of the printers screen, then click IP on the menu bar as below.

In the address box, enter the IP address of the printer. You can use any name and location in the bottom two boxes.

Beacon – 10.70.64.153

Bishop Martin – 10.73.17.99

To set hold/locked print

1. After you have selected the Copier as your printer (Photocopier) locate Job Log in the drop down menu. The screenshots below show the location in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.

Microsoft Word

Adobe Acrobat

2. Put your name or e-mail address in User ID, under Job Type, select Locked Print, and put your copier code in both the Password and User Code boxes. Make sure you check "Enable User Code.

4. To save these as a preset so you don't have to insert your User Code every time, go back and select the drop down menu next to Presets:

5. Select Save Current Settings as Preset...:

6. Name the preset and select Preset Available for: Only this printer:

7. Now click print. When printing to the Ricoh Copier, make sure that your preset you just created is selected:

8. When you are at the copier, select printer:

9. Select Locked print job:

10. Select your job and click print. Your LDST username will show up under User ID so you know which job is yours. Click the jobs you would like to print, enter your user code and press print.

To set double sided / single sided printing go to the Layout tab in the printer options.

Change the options on two sided – long-edge binding will make the document double sided, set to None to get back to single sided pages.

Colour/Black & White can be selected on the Printer Features dropdown box. Change the colour Mode to be Colour or B&W as needed.
