Microsoft Teams - Screen Sharing Permissions (Mac)
How to setup screen sharing on a Mac
Sharing your screen from an Apple device requires Microsoft Teams to receive special permissions. To grant the permissions, ensure you are logged into Teams.
1. Open System Preferences on your Mac. You will find this by clicking the Apple logo and then choosing System Preferences.
2. On the window that appears, look for Security and Privacy. You can enter it in the search box if needs be, but the icon is usually on the end of the third row.
3. In the Security and Privacy window, start by clicking the Privacy tab at the top of the screen. Once you have done this, scroll down the left hand side menu and look for Screen Recording. Click to select this.
You should see a list of Applications that already have permissions to record your screen. Teams will most likely be unselected. Click the padlock button at the bottom left to unlock this setting.
4. Use your Mac password or finger print to unlock the settings. After doing this, click the checkbox next to Microsoft Teams to ensure that you can share your screen.
5. When prompted press the Quit and Reopen button. This will relaunch Microsoft Teams with the correct settings. You can now close System Preferences and should be able to share your screen.
